2 years ago my husband had a WLE for 1.7mm melanoma.
In his recent 3 monthly check, a lump was found on his scar.
He is due for a biopsy on Friday.
I know this may be nothing, but if the lump is malignant, realistically what are the chances it could have spread to the lymph nodes?
If it has spread, will he be upped to stage 3.

I know I am speculating, but would be grateful for anyone else's experiences of this.

Hi MelloMix. I am very sorry about your husband's cancer and possible recurrence.

If they caught it soon enough, there is no reason that it could not be a Stage I or II. If it has spread to the neighboring lymph nodes or other tissue in that area, it would be a Stage III. If it has metastasized to other organs, it would be a Stage IV. Nevertheless, again, there is no reason to think it is not just a local recurrence.

Do keep us informed. You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.
