Hello,

This is my first time in the forum. A big hello to all.

My close relative had been having occasional pain in the left chest since a month. Since last week she has been having left hand pain as well. Yesterday we consulted doctor and post MRI the situation looks grim though we are yet to ascertain the problem.

* * * * *
The MRI scan report reads as below:

Vertebral Bodies: Irregular osteolytic lesions noted in the left D6 pedicle with soft tissue component extend into the extra dural region. No cord compression or signal changes. D2 vertebra shows marrow changes.

Visualised mediastinum shows mass lesion in the paratrachial region.

- ? Lymphadenopathy
- ? Primary mass
Facetal Joints - Normal
Bony spinal canal shows normal dimensions

Intervertibral discs: No significant disc herniations
Cord: Normal

Impression:
(1) Irregular osteolytic lesions in bone (D2 vertebra and left D6 pedicle)
(2) Mediastinal mass

Metastatic disease to be considered.

This matter is under investigation by doctors and patient has been advised biopsy which should happen in the next few days.

Meanwhile, could any of you pls comment on this report based on your experience on this matter.
