I'am 17 and I have smoked since i was about 12. I have been having trouble getting air into my right lung for about 2 months. I feel short of breath sometimes as well. I had a doctor confirm it she gave me an antibiotic and it didnt help. I quit smoking a few weeks ago and its been going well so far. I'am really wandering if its possible to develop lung cancer at 17? I'am conscerned especially since I have lost 2 grandparents to lung cancer.

forts of all congratulations that you quit smoking
lung cancer can happen at any age though the most common age at which it happens is around 40 years
do check with your doctor and get a test done
thanks
