I Have Cancer

Lymphoma — or, more precisely, cancer of a lymph node.

I awoke with this lump (or, "mass," as my doctors consistently correct me)
My primary physician prescribed Amoxicillin, believing it was a simple infection. It wasn't. Following weeks of referrals to ENTs and various surgeons, accompanied by several CAT scans, X-rays, and a needle-biopsy, I was officially diagnosed with a malignant lymph node tumor in the left side of my neck (as evidenced by the pic below).

I'm no stranger to cancer. In 2000, my wife passed away from liver cancer three weeks after being diagnosed terminal on her 47th birthday. Her passage was swift — but, thankfully, she didn't suffer through years and years of daily pain and failing health. I, however, have a far different scenario. My surgeons stress that patients such as myself have an 85% full recovery success — which is far better than my late wife's zero percent. So, I'm going to fight this cancer with every ounce of strength in my body and soul.
