Hi all... I just wanted to share my agony...

My mother (64, NSCLung Cancer 4, with bone and liver metastasis) has had already 3 cycles of chemotherapy. Next Thursday we will run new tests again to see how she is doing.

Till now, she has had no bad side effects from chemotherapy, on the contrary it seemed to help her since her pain has gone away. Yesterday the blood tests that she runs every week showed that her hematocrit level is very low (23) and that she will need a blood transfusion.

She said that she is thinking to stop the chemotherapy.
What will happen if she does? I mean, apart from having a few months more to live (possibly) will that mean more pain and problems for her?

I will discuss all these with the doctors, I just thought to ask if someone knows what will happen if she stops chemo.

Thank you all...
