Greetings everyone, I am pretty new to all of this and looking for possiable feedback, good websites, books, ideas thoughts etc... from people that are fighting cancer through diet. I'll try to keep this story short. I posted before... Recently my Wife and I have relocated accross the counrty to help. Currently my Dad and my Sister both have lung cancer, my Dad (67) had a tumor in his thigh removed about two years ago and now has spots on his lungs... Dr. says no chemo nor surgury as option...gave him a 6 to 12 months to live. my older Sister (46) started out with cervical cancer, surgury to remove it, a year after that she had a lung removed now another year after that she currently has spots on her one remaining lung as well as her kidney there are some spots. She is on week four of chemo now... I have been trying to learn as much as possiable, options ideas...etc... I am learning that it is possiable to beat cancer through diet. #1 EAT NO REFINED SUGAR PRODUCT, Sugar feeds Cancer cells. How many of you know this? Say NO to cookies and junk... Rule #2 by a vegetable juicer and build the immune system to its peak. I have read some people are drinking a varied ingrediance juicer veggie drink every hour along with good clean foods at meal time...Is anyone out there doing this? Starve the cancer with no sugar and feed the immune system... sounds logical. Research sugar and you will be blown away how common it is in products and how bad it is for you. Perhaps you can share your diet plans, ideas, thoughts, recipies. I want to help fight this and If this is a possiable way I will move forward and push them to do whatever it may take. I hope I am not just wasting time nor going down a incorrect path but it really makes sence that it can be done through an fairly aggresive controled diet. I really dont want to be just a helping hand with a good spirited attitude around, I want to help save my Dad and Sister. Bless you all out there in amazing ways...

Let me know if it is working - I have not researched the diet aspect of fighting the cancer. Actually, I don't think my father will ever do it though - he is a sweet tooth. Do you know if there is any data on the artificial sweetners? Or is it just the refined sugar? I know that artificial sweetners are actually horrible in their own right, but...

I know that my father did switch to Veggie juice though instead of fruit juices cutting down on alot of the sugars.

Hi... The sweet herb Stevia is the only good substitue sugar I can find so far that might be ok, other than the sweetness of fresh fruits and berries is the best I would say... we are just trying to not eat any sugar stuff period... as for "is it working" well its a hard thing to change years of eating and cooking a certain way... its not being easy to implement here too, its all a matter of the persons willingness and drive to "do the right thing no matter what" and "fight !" We are making sugar free muffins, adding some berries or fruit to get them tasty... making smoothies packed full of good stuff is working very well so far, and just starting to Juice vegetables... My best suggestion at this time is to search google, read and get educated, if that inspires you... then go buy a few good books, we picked up a few books now, one called Beating Cancer with Nutrition by Patrick Quillin, its one of the best out there... I can only set the table for My Dad and Sister ... they are the ones that have to make the choice what they want to do, its not easy but the more educated you are and more importantly they are about the Cancer enemy... the more confident you all are on how to fight it... One day at a time... good luck with it all, keep in touch at any time ever, we are all fighting this for many reasons...
