I'm so sorry to hear about Your Mother,it's a difficult thing to deal with. You are probably going to feel alot of different emotions but while You still can spend as much time with her as possible - You'll be glad You did.My Mother died from cancer too, when they found it -it was too far gone to do anything about it.Whether You are a man ,woman or child it is a very in depth situation to withstand-sounds like Your Mother is a very strong person, her Faith probably helps keep her there.Deep down inside though she too is probably scared.Doctors can say what they may but only the Lord knows how much time we have.He doesn't call us home until our work here is done. My thoughts and prayers are with You and Your Family.Do what You feel is right and good in Your own heart-God will do the rest.
I don't know if I have found the right words or not.But I hope You find comfort for Your heart.

How are you supposed to feel? What ever you're feeling is how you're supposed to feel.
I can tell you how I felt 4 years ago when I lost my mother to cancer. She was also a strong woman with deep faith.
I felt, at different times, angry, sad and scared. Mostly though, I just felt like I wanted to do my best to make her last days as comfortable as I possibly could for her, and I wanted her, above everything else, to know that I loved her.
When she went into the hospital my sister and brother and I took shifts so at least one of us was always with her, 24 hours a day for just over 2 weeks, and we were all there with her the night she died.
It was hard at times, hard to watch, hard to accept, but I'll tell you something, I'll never regret doing it. I walked with her and held her hand right up to death's door and I watched her cross over. When I had to let her go it was ok - sad but ok.
Actually, today I think about that and I feel honored that I was able to be there and share that last moment with her.
I don't know if you are in a position to do that. Your job, finances or geographic location may not make that possible. I think the most important thing though is for you to know that she knows that you love her, and the only way she can know that is if you tell her.
I'm really sorry you have to go through this but you'll be ok, trust me on that. You'll be ok. |

I do live in a different town then my mother. My sister do look out for my mother well. When I was down there yesterday, she look like a lot of weight is being lost. She drinks a lot of water, and some kind of protein.
She can't keep any thing solid down.I don't know if this normal or not.
She is being injected with medicine to help from throwinng up.She still is pretty strong but sleeps a lot.I have let my mother know she is loved and she still shares that great love that she has.I pray that I will be able to be there when she on her last days, |
