any info on gastro intestinal stromal tumours - gist

i hope i have that right, please any info would be appreciated, im trying to help someone gain some info as theyr wife is awaiting biopsy results on a "localised mass " found in her abdomen, it is pressing on her kidney and causing severe back ache, she is severly anaemic, and has lost a lot of weight her age is 30. the latest info is that the mass is in the upper right quadrant. the doctors have mentioned it is probably either lymphoma or g.i.s.t, can any one give me any information at all regarding
g.i.s.t and the long term outcome.

i have been ill for two years now and am awaiting a biopsy on an enlarged node. i have been told by many doctors that there is nothing wrong and it is all in my head, so now even my family believe this i feel hopeless and very scared/
