My father (80yrs) recently experienced a compression fracture of the vertebrae and was in severe pain. After pushing for tests (HMO) they did a bone biopsy and found small cell/neuroendecrine cancer. He is now in a Board and Care facility, using a walker and becoming very unsteady on his feet. He is also showing signs of paranoia.

Is small cell always lung cancer or could it be something else. Because he decided not to have any treatment at all they didn't do any tests to find the primary site.

Any thoughts, info, comments would be very helpful. I'm not sure where things will go from here.

Thank you,
Lila
