Recently I have a PSA test and it came back 24 (3 years ago it was .5) I have no classic PC symptoms at all. I do however, have pain in the skin of the scrotum that feels like some sort of infection or skin issue. What is going on and should I have invasive biopsy proceedure done? I am 59 and never been ill with anything at all![size=18][/size]

murphy,

There could be several reasons for a high PSA reading, including infection.

A PSA of 24 does need further investigation: personally I'd have a biopsy.

Am not aware of skin pain being related to PC, and sometimes there are no symptoms of PC.

I often suggest people obtain the book, "Prostate Cancer Prevention and Cure" by Lee Nelson which is very comprehensive.

This book covers many of the questions you are asking.
