Just joined this site. Was looking for online support and info. Mom-in-law,
and Mom (Doris) diagnosed Nov. 30, 2006 glioblastoma. Coming home
from skilled nursing facility tomorrow with hospice support. Have 3-6 month
prognosis. We look forward to reading through all these postings for your stories and hope to share our journey too. _________________ snep |

Dear Sara,
Sorry to hear you also joined this site. It's very sad that you have two beloved ones facing GBM in the same time.
You'll find many friends and relief on this forum. I remember when I was new to join this site in July. I was so sad and broken when Mum was diagnosed with inoperable GBM - this site was my best relief and I found myself embraced by others' loving and attentionate care and willingness to share the pain.
You are not alone, we are all here to give you support.
Are your Mum and mother-in-law under surgical treatment/chemo/radio, or on palliative care?
I send you lots of good energies for being able to stand beside your two beloved ones with all your love.

Thanks for the greeting (all the way from Switzerland?) the internet can be such a wonderful tool. Actually it is my mother and law, my husband's mother- just one person named Doris. I read back through your posts and was sorry to
see your Mum passed away. The holidays are not an easy time for this stress.
This cancer is so strange. It just amazes me how the mind works, and then how it doesn't work. But I feel ready, able, and willing to take this journey
on as a caregiver. _________________ snep |

Just want to welcome you to the site. I hope we are able to offer you support and a shoulder when you need it, and maybe even a smile every now and then too.
I wish you the best in this journey we are all sharing. _________________ Michele |

Hi Sara,
Yes, my wishes and thoughts go towards you from Switzerland!
My Mum lived in Hungary so it was so hard for me to be far from her - although I took almost every week-ends for flying to her. My family in Geneva gave me lots of support during those 4 months.
You, too, take all the support your family can offer you in order to be able to walk through this painful journey next to your Mum-in-law.
And, we are here for you too, I'm so hapyp to see that Michele is also close to us.
take care,
Kris |
