I am almost 13 and I today I discovered a small lump under the right side of my jaw. Is this a type of cancer? I really need to know because I am scared to death and bawling my eyes out. If I do have cancer, what type do I have? Crying or Very sad

If you are really worried, you need to tell your parents, and get to see a doctor. However, lumps can be all sorts of things, and unless it is changing fast or painful to the touch or hot, it is not very likely to be cancer.

Most important is not to keep this kind of thing to yourself, but to talk to someone near to you about it. Fear and worry are more painful than most realities.

Probably a lymph node, probably nothing. See a doctor, it's GREAT when they tell you you're fine!
