I noticed a small brown lump on my shoulder several years ago. It was symmetrical and risen, and fairly small.

However, I noticed it again while showering today and its bigger.. about the size of an eraser on a pencil.. and there is a red ring around it.

Should I be worried? Sad

I think you should have a doctor take a look at it before getting too worried about it. There is no way for any of us to diagnose you over the Internet. Good luck and God bless. Let us know what you find out.

It is good that you have found us and I hope we can help you if indeed it is cancer. I hope you get good news on Monday and I look forward to hear what the doctor says.

May I give you a further suggestion? Get a notebook and start a medical journal. Divide it into the following sections.

1. Your medical history in bullet form... just the basics... year or age at the time, what was the diagnosis or treatment.

2. Your current medications and known allergies. Keep this section up to date. You will be asked for this information every time you go to the doctor.

3. Your current symptoms. This is the section that is most like a journal. Make sure you put a date on your entries.

4. Your questions for your medical team and the answers you receive. You will not believe you fast this information flies out of your brain when the doctor walks into the room with your chart in his hand. Write down the answers as soon as possible. I usually one write a word or two to help me remember what my doctor said but flesh out this outline later.

The journal will also help you remember what information you was to ask for help with on this forum.

Good luck at the doctor's office.
