My son had a stem cell transplant in May of 2005 after CHOP-R treatment for his follicular lymphoma had transformed to a large diffused B-cell in his chest. After the unrelated stem cell donation and three straight wks. of radiation on his chest he finally got the good news that he was and is still in remission for the past 20mos. Has it been easy, Heck NO! He is still on predisone, immunosupressive drugs & too many other meds to recall or name. He IS ALIVE, back to work for the past 15mos. riding his mountain bkie, motorcycling, & even trying to jetski race. All things he did prior to NHL. He was like many who get NHL, a very healthy living man. Mountain bike raced for 13 yrs. jetskied, snowmobile, never smoked, barely ever had a drink & watched what he ate. It's been a long (not over yet) battle, but with a positive attitude, strong faith & a never give up mentatlity we expect him around a very long time. He is 39 & was diagnosed just prior to his 36th b-day.
