I done had abdominal ultrasound , stomach x ray, abdominal ct scan with contrast , blood work to in July and my glucose was at 78. and told me it was nothing to worry about . But yesterday i had anotehr blood test done on me and this time the GLUCOSE was at 132 H . So the doctor wants me to get another abdominal ct scan done on me tommorow because of my back pain getting worse . My question is do i fit the symptoms of those with pancreatic cancer ?? While there is no one certain diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, yours does sound like there is a significant possibility. When someone with normally low glucose levels presents with suddenly high levels, there is a significant possibility that this is caused by the functioning part of the pancreas decreasing due to a tumor or other cause. The CT scan should give a better picture of this. In my case they followed up with an ERCP biopsy, and put a stent in my bile duct to reduce the jaundice (which is what usually causes the itchiness). A month later they performed a Whipple procedure which removed a whole lot of my insides. See my blog listed below for details of where this had led me over the last three years.

| Thank you freeio and thank you brainman for replying i had a ct scan done on me last night they told me my pancreas was kind of puffy, He told me that there was no tumor or mass on the pancreas . He said for me not to worry about it . After he told me this i told him that i feel theres something wrong with my pancreas , because of the symptoms im having . And every time i would mentioned my symptoms he would just tell me that every thing is fine. Should i stop worrying about pancreatic cancer ?? |
