Hello

Lymphomas are a group of diseases that can behave in diverse ways. Some lymphomas grow slowly and are almost impossible to cure, and some are more aggressive but are easier to cure.

Anyway, it is a difficult disease that requires very toxic treatments. But there are many things that can be done.

regards,
Leo

dear dawn,
first thing first, what is the diagnosis? cancer in lymph nodes can be non hodgkins lymphoma, hodgkins disease, or cancer with lymph node metastasis. of course cancer is always not good, but the prognosis can be so different.
stage hodgkins disease has a much better prognosis compare to a stage iv breast cancer with lymph node and distant metastasis.
please talk to the physician and obtain the diagnosis.

good luck,

let us know if you have further questions.

regards,

jay

No kidding Leo!!

My cancer grew very quickly within weeks and I was at a stage where if I would have waited any longer I would of probably died. I had lymphoblastic Lymphoma and oddly enough my Oncologist told me it was an easier cancer to treat and had a good survival rate even though the onset was rapid.

Dear Emily,

Your hematologist is not wrong. Usually more aggressive lymphoma casaes are more sensitive to chemotherapy. Systemic low grade lymphoma, while it grows very slowly, cannot be cured with any medications.

Jay

It is strange how things work like that. But I consider myself lucky that my cancer was easier to treat then most others.
