Hello everyone, I am new to this forum seeking advice and knowledge. My partner is a 28yr old female who had double breast cancer at age 25 which resulted in removing both breasts. Unfortunately now (2 years later) recent mamo and other tests/biopsy showed positive breast cancer in her left breast, along with a spread to her lymph nodes and to some of her bones. Her doctor has recommended taking a drug called Tomaxefin to treat her diagnosis.

I am now on an all around frenzy trying to find out any and all informaton about the cancer she has, and what to expect with her, how to cope, etc. If anyone has any advice I am open to anything and would love to hear any feedback about any personal experiences and what I should be aware of.

I appreciate the time taken to read my post

Marisa

Hi Marisa, I am very sorry about your partner's recurrence of Breast Cancer. You really should read the information at this link:

http://cancerforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=626

It will help you know what critical information you need to make sure your friend has. This information will direct her treatment options and her prognosis.

Tomaxefin is one of the leading chemotherapy agents used for breast cancer. Since it has already spread into her lymph nodes, chemotherapy is the way to go.

You and your partner are in my thoughts and prayers.
