Hi this is my first time posting. My dad was diagnosed yesterday at age 50 with stage IV renal cell cancer that has spread to his lungs. The last week we were told it was mesothelioma after a biopsy on the lungs but the pathology report came back and a CT scan confirmed renal cell cancer. They have told us he has about a year to live and removal of the kidney (which they wanted to do today) will give him approx. 1-2 more months. I hope to get some information and much needed support here.
