Hi My friend had surgery 2 days ago to remove a tumor from her brain. Surgery went well and the doctor said she was doing well, she was even awake and chatting although, slipping in and out of sleep. So all seems good, however, last night (so day after op) she had a blood transfusion, is this normal?????

it's possible. Maybe related to her WBC or RBC after what the effects of her surgery but I'm not sure. I remember I needed blood transfusion during and after treatment but maybe it's a different situation with your friend.
