Hello, I am Mary aka maryaz. If there are other Mary's, it is fine to call me Maryaz. I have met Jim (Brainman) previously when I first registered. I had trouble logging in after registered.

I have gone from one section to another trying to figure our where to post. I am about as frustrated with cancer message boards as with the cancer. Not really. Wink I have only read on 2 message boards and yet they seem different. This is all new to me this past month.

My husband is the one with the cancer. I thought if I started to post and had questions, it might be nice to include some background to save explaining each time. I tried that and the post was way too long. I tried using the BOLD which I now see you don't use here. I re-did my writeup. Then I decided it was too long.

See, I am confused. It is getting late and I am frustrated. Rolling Eyes I will be better tomorrow.

Besides introducing myself, just how much should I post. It is NSCLC Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Stage 3B. Things have not been going smooth.

I always thought some of the best input came from people that had the similar experiences. Yet, so far I am not certain what can be discussed here. We had so many problems this past month and I had so many questions. We were just lost. I just want to be sure I know what I can ask.

Tell me what is the purpose of the message board. I understand the compassion and caring. There were numerous problems that my husband had and I would have liked to have been able to come to a message board and ask for some input. Thanks!

Hi Mary, And welcome to the Forum-

I'm sorry to hear about your husband. This is the best place I found for all information. Meds, help, care, advice, information. And a good community to cry on.

If you post your husbands story, explaining when and how he was diagnosed, then ask away. As any question you need to ask. Even the ones you think are stupid.

People will read this and help in anyway they can. This Forum is great for help, support and information.

It is frustrating, so feel free to let it all out here, Thats what we are all here for.

See you on the Pages. Wink

Hi Mary,

If you have read any of the "My Story" topics I posted, you will see that I too have a problem keeping a story short Smile. Write away! I suggest that then you copy the URL for that topic and put it in your signature block in your profile. That way, you dont have to tell it over and over Wink.

Still think about and praying for you and your husband.

Thanks for the responses. Great! Later I will come back and include the 'My Story'. I guess I was just too tired last night. I should have seen that. I read some of those weeks ago.

At least the input my husband got today was more uplifting than some days. One day is encouraging and the next becomes discouraging and actualy nothing changes but the conversations. Amazing! I think the nurses at chemo are better than the doctor at informing.

I think I am going to like it here. Hope so! My husband's cancer is affecting 'my' brain. Smile Thanks again.
