Hello - I go by my initials, H F. 13 months ago I had surgery - a radical prostatectomy. My doctor thought that I did not qualify for robotic. It was quite an ordeal. I was 66 at the time. I was in the hospital for a week - apparently difficulties with fluid balance.

PSA of 6 sent me for a biopsy which showed a Gleason of 7. Local Uro sent me to Houston.
Surgical Pathology Report:
Gleason Score = 9
Focal established extra-capsular invasion
Nerve invasion
Four lymph nodes positive for metastatic cancer
My Cancer is described as high grade carcinoma

Post surgical PSA has varied between <0.003 and 0.007. I am thinking that I have the skill of my surgical team to thank for low PSA scores.

I will be please to talk with anyone about my experience (not that I have any idea of what I am doing!)

2005 Recurrence this time said to be an Oligodendoglioma grade 3, same location.
