Hi out there:

I'm a stage 4, multipe T-cell, diffused large B-cell NHL (very rare) survivor of 7 R-CHOP cycles now in remission for 2 yrs. Have read much on use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing to determine your true residual level of cancer. I understand that it takes up to 500 million cancer cells to see cancer by CT/PET. And that at this level one is faced with an expontial growth; not linear. My doctor has told me that I am in clinical remission and I should not worry. There is a good chance that I have a residual level that could be treated. Maintaince, if you will, to keep the cancer down to a level my body can fight. Most of my reading deals with other B-cell cancers. Has anyone had experience with PCR and its usefullness in treating diffused large B-cell? Would like to chat and become better educated about what is the state-of-the-art in using PCR testing.
