jeapal23,

I'm sorry about the news of your Husbands diagnsis- hipefuly a early one.
I don't know much about MM, so hpefuly someone will respond quickly for you.

All i can say, is to keep a book/diary for any questions to ask the DRs . Ask a million questions, even the silly ones.

I'm surpirsed and a little confused on the comment about maybe not needing any treatment. Look into everything at least twice, to be sure.

Thinking of you both.

jeapal23, I am as confused as you... having more questions than answers. IF your husband does have MM, I would think he should be treated of it. It maybe that after further studies the doctors decided that it was not MM after all. Elevation in paraprotein can be cause by benign conditions as well. But you should ask your husband's medical team for a clarification.

Keep us informed. You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.

People with smoldering MM are required to be monitored to see if there are any changes. That is very common with that type of MM.

I know a bit about this since the person I talk with alot has smoldering MM.

Google Margarets Corner, she has MM and has links to others that have MM. My prayers are with you and your husband.
