My moms results are ready. As I wrote before she had a bump in her ear. 2.5 months ago it was a small pimple and for 2.5 months it became big as a peanut.

A few fragments with sizes 3-4 mm on the right external ear canal with morphology of high differential squamous cell carcinoma, verrucous type with stromn reaction. One of the fragments is with a structure of hyaline cartilage.

T3 N0 MX

Surgical Method: Extirpacio Sa meati acustici externa dextra, status post extirpacionem

In 20 days she will start radioteraphy

Can someone tell me more about the results? Is it curable? You may probably say see your doctor.Yes my mom is seeing a doctor. However she lives in Bulgaria and I will appreciate opinions from Countries with more advanced technology and knowledge.

Thank you

I ve done already a lot of research. My main question is if someone experianced the same problem?

Hi DonnaDon. I do not understand the latin part of the report... it is kind of unusual to find a report with so much latin in it. What you mother has is a moderately aggressive cancer (T3) that has not spread to her lymph nodes (N0). She is yet to be examined for metastatic growths (MX). Squamous cells are a type of cell found on our skin and in the lining of hollow organs such as the ear canal.

I never talk about any cancer being "curable" so I will not do so in your mother's case. However, with aggressive treatment, she can survive. I really do not know what her prognosis is. My advice is to talk with her own medical team. My gut feeling is that it is better than you think.

However, of equal concern as her survival is changes in life for your mother. I have no idea what consequences she should expect from radiation therapy to her ear but it is something that I would want to be prepared for.

You and your mother are in my thoughts and prayers.
