I need some advice on the following symptoms:

1. Two swollen lymph nodes on right hand side of neck. One is right under my jaw and the other is paratracheal. Not very large - pea sized would be closest description - for 3months+, no obvious infection or sore throat. Pain in the paratracheal node.

2. Other symptoms - stiff neck, white coating on tongue for 2 weeks+

3. I had full medical exam about a month ago - full bloods (CBC) revealed no abnormality.

Anything to be concerned about?

Thanks in advance for any helpful comments.

Should have mentioned in initial email.

I also have some mild pain when swallowing. Best described as being "aware" of a sensation in my throat.

Hope this helps.

Hi seandevalera,

Welcome to the Cancer Forum.

First off, I'm just a patient with no medical training whatsoever, just some OJT.

Were those swollen lymph nodes present at your last physical exam? If so what did the doctor say?

Have you been having an itching sensation on or around your neck.

Have you had any night sweats?

Have you had a sudden loss of energy.

Not trying to alarm you, but if we can get some more facts out of you possibly someone on this forum can answer your concern more directly.

Either way, it's important to maintain a positive attitude.

Burt

I actually failed to mention them at physical exam but did go to see GP the week after. He said it wasnt anything to worry about.

sorry - no other symptoms to speak of. No sweats, fatigue etc...

I do sometimes feel as if something is in throat - like a strange sensation when swallowing but I think this may be in my head.

Well, what I can state with certainty is that you do not exhibit the symptoms that I did prior to diagnosis. If I were you (which I am not so take with a grain of salt), I think I'd just keep monitoring my condition until my symptoms changed. In any event be sure to mention them again at your next scheduled checkup with a doctor.
