My wife 42 yrs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last july after turning juntise.. our first set of doctors had her on traditional chemo treatment and radiation to try to shrink the cancer and the neck of the pancreas so they could do the whippel.. after 3 months of this they discovered that it had spread to the diaphram and they just gave up on her.. year later I found a new set of doctors locally and they started her on Gemzar and tarceva.. she is developing ascites on her feet beside here stomach.. has anybody found a relief for either ascites.. I think they can only drain. My dad was on 'water pills' but they don't help because the fluid is a progression and a symptom of the pancreatic cancer. Wish I could say something that actually helps.
