Dad ended his battle with GBM last night. The last 3 weeks have been hard, and I think he was ready for it to be over. I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, for their insight, and encouragement, for their willingness to give information to others. Dad only had 3 months left after the diagnosis and most of that time he was not in good health. His tumor was inoperable and very large--over 5 cm when diagnosed. I am uplifted to read the stories of success and the hope it gave us will never be forgotten. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this site.

Michele, I am so sorry to hear about your father. My mother died of a GBM in 1999. It was hard on all of us. I hope you find comfort during this time.

May the Light shine in your life.

Dear Michele,

I don't know if you still look into this Forum sometimes ...I'm just preparing myself for the same that has happened to your Dad in 2005. My mum has only few time left as she's not a good candidate for surgery with the size and localisation of her GBM. All what I want is that she doesn't suffer long.
Your honest, lovely posting of November 2005 helps me through this preparation period.
All my best wishes,

Kris
