Hi,
Just wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers. Surgery went well (according to the surgeon, but he wasn't the one cut on.. lol) and the pain has been alot better since the 1st 24 hours. Because of it being on the same side as the MRM, I've got a cast made of whatever lining they use in a real one and then a ton of the ace bandage stuff, so nothing is real tight on my arm.
I will pop in from time to time, but between the surgery and not suppose to be typing...ooops, lol and something else that has happened, it will be a little while before I'm back regularly.
Everyone take care and talk to you soon
Nancy

Dear Nancy,

WELCOME BACK!!! You have been missed! I'm so glad your surgery went well. What about the hottie docs? Hope you had some luck there! LOL I'd better watch myself...I'm sure Dr. Leo doesn't want R rated boards and he'll throw me out if I don't behave myself! LOL

I look forward to enjoying your posts!

Healing hugs,

Margie

I'll protect you... lol I go see the hottie surgeon Thur. and omg, the anestheologist (sp) was SO fine. If I wasn't so scared, I could have enjoyed looking more.... lol I thought he was not only good looking, but his personality made things alot easier. He asked if I had any questions and I said no, and he said well, THAT (not me...lol) was easy. He asked if I wanted something to relax me and I said oh yea. Before he left, he asked me if I was sure there wasn't anything and I told him just to make sure I wake up. He said he only issued round trip tickets and that made me relax. I think I'll skip any more surgeries even if it means not seeing them. 8 in less then 3 years is enough, I'm retired ...lol

Hey, Nancy, I am glad the surgery went well. Having hottied docs helps take some of the pain and anxiety away. Wink You take it easy and heal. We'll all take care of things here while you take it easy. Hugs, Lauri

Hey

Glad things went well. I remember when I broke my arm 2 years ago... it hurt a lot and it was pretty deformed...then I spent a lot of time with this cast, and could hardly type. Hopefully your cast will be gone in no time.

best regards,
Leo

I really wish they had put me in a regular cast, but I understand why they made this funky one since it was on the MRM side and tried everything to avoid lymphadema. It keeps it from moving alot, but there have been several times I did something that I know I shouldn't have because I found out the hard way. I should know alot more Thur. when I see the surgeon. I'm sure he'll take all this off to look at it and he just better give me time to scratch before he puts anything back on if he's going to. Nothing like having an itch and can't get to it.....LOL
