after being sick for almost 1 year, and having fought with the drs. for about 6 months,i'm finally having a lymph node biopsy on a groin node, sept. 12th.the node they're taking out has become hard, and i've heard that sometimes the pathologist can't get a good reading from those.so' i'm praying and keeping my fingers crossed that it shows up what is wrong, because they have waited too long. i lose my medical coverage in october.i'm so sick, and this itching and night sweats are driving me nuts.now i've begun to have a weird itchy rash around my face, and on my chest, and pain in the middle of my chest, with dizzyness.i've also lost down to 117 lbs. from 147 lbs. in january.and i eat!i've gone down from a size 7 to a size 0.i hurt in my left side, under my rib cage, and i have begun to have low-grade fevers at night, when i'm still awake.and a sore throat, but it looks fine.and headaches,so bad, coming from the back of my neck, where there is a node enlarged.i now have painless lymphadenopathy in my neck, armpits, under the collarbone, back of neck, lumps on my head,in my groin and behind the knees.and finally, they're beginning to think this might not be something simple.sorry for going on so long. i just needed to talk. karen

I had the rash on my chest for over a year(thought it was dermitits so did my dermatologist).

2 rounds of chemo and it's faded so much you can't see it.

I thankfully don't have the night sweats but you did list some other symptoms I had. The itchyness has almost stopped.

I still have pains in the middle of my chest but that is due to a enlarged node in my media stinum. Also might be because I have fibro myalgia.

Good luck at the Dr. I hope they find out what is going on.

I wish you had my Dr. he sent me for the works soon as I told him the node in my neck was swollen.

I'm Stage II but he probably wouldn't have caught it sooner because I had no visible symptoms.

hi karen,
u must b going out of ur mind.. and i can tell u i know exactly how u feel, b4 i was diagnosed with hodkins lymphoma last year a1 month after my 20th bday i had found a painless and hard lump above my collarbone, and prior 2 finding out that i had hodgkins.. i didnt really had any visable signs except iching like mad 4 about 10 months non stop and along with the itching i also had a rash (red dot all over my legs especially) and i went 2 a dermatologist and he just said it was excema Rolling Eyes and then i started waking up with a very sore chest (just above my left breast) and it really hurt 2 breathe especially in the morning snd i also went 2 the drs about that and he said it was some minor disease that woman my age get quite often hmmmm!
anyway later that year i finally got diagnosed and it was the biggest shock of my life.. wot im trying 2 get at is that u have a lot of symptoms that r obviously not normal so make sure drs that u r seeing r working as fast as they can 2 try and determan wot is causing these problems.
coz if it is something serious, the earlier u get this thing the better.
plz dont assume that there is something seriously wrong with u coz it definitely not my intention 2 make u think that

I'm in a lot of pain, but my biopsy was a success! The dr. was just going to remove one node in my groin, but it turned out to be a big hard mass .he said he doesn't know exactly how many he took out.I should know in about a week what the pathology report is. Everyone in my family is praying that it will show the problem,so we can know how to treat, and where to go from here.I'm just glad it's over. karen
