My friend has just been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer with mets to lungs and to lymph nodes....any advice or success stories out there. We know that there is no cure but what about extending life....he's a very healthy fit 75 year old.[/b]

Have you looked into any of the experimental therapies out there? Look up antiangiogenesis drug therapy. It seems to be helping a lot of people with cancers that do not respond to chemo or radiation.
