Hi everyone!
My father has recurrent stomach cancer after 2 years. He is resuming chemo . He has received 4 sessions with Camptozar. He was hospitalized previoulsy to the last chemo, He was extremaly weak, and not really eating solids, obviously he lost weight and the worst things are the intractable HICCUPS than make him miserable.
Doctor prescribed Metoclopramide, and also porchloperazine. Does anyone knows any other drug or natural remedies that could help. I have tried soo many , you would not believed. Please I would appreciate any suggestion.

Desperately,
Claudia

Hello, Claudia - my aunt swore that sucking a sugar-lump worked best. I 've found that taking very small sips of water, breathing in deeply between sips, seems to work well. The theory is that the small sips fool the diaphragm and stop the spasms. Deep slow abdominal breathing can also stop the spasms.

I presume it's a side-effect of all the treatment he's been having?

Thank you Vee for your reply!
I think that drinking zips of water is the only thing that stops it for a while what worried me its the fact that now are getting worse and he feels short of breath and sometimes shocks....I called the doctor and he prescribed a muscle spam relaxer(Bacoflen) hopefully works!!
If there is any other suggestion I would like to know. Thanks again and God Bless you all
