My friend s only 30 and has two small children. She has had neck pain for 3 years and has just been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. 2 spots in the neck, 1 in the brain. Some people tell me that it is very treatable, despite not being curable and that she will livee for years. Very Happy Is the fact that it is already in the brain, despite its early stage mean that she has less chance of responding to cures?

We live in Australia. Are there any particular people over here that she should get advice from. Doctors are not always the best when it comes to new tecnology and expertice over here Evil or Very Mad

Sorry to hear of your friends situation. I would search through google for more detail on the disease.

It is unfortunate but people with cancer of the brain do not usually last long. I have lost two friends recently who were diagnosed with cancer that had spread to the brain. They were both overweight however.

Good luck with your friend, I wish you the best and will pray for recovery.
