Hi everyone

New to this site

Have just come back from hospital. My brother 56 has a brain tumor. The tumor is manageable but his stomach is huge. (9 months pregnant! ) why is this ? Is this because of the drugs and treament? can anything be done. He also has a stomach hernia which has not been treated becasue of his cancer. Will he die because of the hernia ? He is coming back home to die within the next douple of days. Is this totally necessary he has so much to live for.

Please reply if you can help. DESPERATE

I am so sorry to hear about your brother ... it is a very sad disease.

My husband had 31 rounds of radiation. There was no effect whatsoever on his stomach. He did get nauseaus from oral chemo ... but it didn't make his stomach swell.

Was his tummy large pre-tumor? What kind of brain tumor does he have ... do you know the name of it? I don't think what is happening to his stomach has anything to do with his brain tumor Hon. Wish I could help. And again ... so sorry,
Joy

New to the forum also. I have a primary brain stem astrocytoma grade 2. I already had radiation. One thing that has helped me is whole leaf aloe vera juice. I buy Lilly of the Desert. The quality is excellent. I have tried aloe powder and pills. The juice is the best. It is found in most stores in the laxative section of the pharmacy. It has been known to help with the stomach issues with chemo. Give him 8 oz every day. That is one cup. Have him drink it straight. Do your own research on the aloe benefits. I did. I spent many nights on the internet looking up how wonderful the plant is and that the benifits are well documented but not shared with the people who need it most.

My doctors gave me six months to five years. I've already made it two years and since the darn thing is smaller, I know I have shocked them and increased my lifespan.

hi annie
u must give your brother aloe vera juice as much as possible
large quantities of aloe vera juice are known to create tumor necrosis factor and this is as per research done by doctors of the medical field

There are over 240 different species of Aloe Vera, growing mainly in the dry regions of Africa, Asia, Europe and America. Aloe Vera has been used for topical treatment of wounds, minor burns, and skin irritations. American consumers are most familiar with aloe's use in skin-care products. Aloe Vera products for internal use have been promoted for constipation, coughs, wounds, ulcers, diabetes, cancer, headaches, arthritis, immune-system deficiencies, and many other conditions. Conditions which are caused by a disordered immune system such as asthma and some forms of arthritis also seem to benefit from Aloe Vera.
