Well since my last post i have had some serious pain in my back on the left hand side around my rib/ kidney area and i am still constipated. I have had an other bone marrow biopsy and i am booked in for a MRI on the 21/12/o6,and my appointment with the doctors is two days before that. Up until now everything was just all words but now i am getting very scared,because i know from what iv'e read that they are probabbly going to start talking chemo. I would love to hear from any body that has been through this or is going through it. I would like to know how long you survive if you dont have chemo. I watched my daughter die of lukemia after having stemcell transplant so i am not a big advocate of chemo, i think it can strip you of your dignity and it is not like this is a cancer they can cure. In saying that if the pain gets worse i will probabbly take anything they offer.

Itīs simple. You do nothing, you die. You do chemo, you may live. Maybe longer, maybe youīre even lucky enough to get cured. Or not.

If you refuse it your chances drop to zero.

Thereīs no dignity in dying. Itīs bad, itīs sad. You can live with dignity, we can't die with it.

Do what it takes, donīt give up before it even begins.

Thanks Cardoso for your reply. I know what you say is true. I have to make some decsions and i am just trying to weigh out which way to go. Your answer has given me some perspective on life and death, I guess if i hadnt of watched my daughter go through what she went through, i probbably would be more accepting of chemo and all that goes along with it, and it is not me so much that i am worried about it is my family. Do i make it quick and get it over and done with or do i fight and take them on the journey with me that s why i was asking the question how long is the survival time without chemo.
