Well I saw my doctor today about the suspicious mole on my back. He agreed that it has changed color , is not symmetrical, and is uneven, bumpy, etc. He said he would do a biopsy no later than January 8th and take it off but that he really doesnt suspect melanoma because he said although there is tan and dark brown, that the cases he has seen usually have pink in them. He said he would biopsy it to put my mind at ease because he is sure it will drive me crazy and I will worry to death. He said he would even see if he could get me in to a plastic surgeon before teh 8th to have it done sooner if that would meke me feel better. He said he's about 99-100% sure it's not melanoma although when I look at it and read whats on net, it has the four ABCD's. Should I believe him??? He also mentioned something about the other moles I have being perfect and if melanoma was spreding thru my body, then they would be changing too. TY in advance for any opinions.

Changes in a mole should always be biopsied but most times they turn out ok or mildly dysplastic. It could be that the mole has been irritated by clothing, or any number of things. Your doctor is incorrect that your other moles would be changing though - it is very rare to have more than one melanoma primaries. Good luck but you should be fine
