Doris came home and 2 hopsice nurses came today at 6:00 pm. They really were well informed. One thing I learned is that her ravenous
appetite is probably from the decadron. She always ate like a bird in the past. Instead of being a pleasant and happy event, Doris was quite frightened and confused by leaving the facility and being driven by wheelchair van to our house. She was overwhelmed and was extremely
chatty all afternoon until she fell asleep. For the past six weeks she has been quiet as a mouse only rousing to eat. But a 10 minute ride home really stimulated her. Now we shall experience our first night. I'll keep
you posted. Thanks, Sara

Hi Sara,
I am glad your mother in law is at home with hospice. Hospices can be a great source of help to you and Doris. Use them. Find out all the services they can offer to Doris and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

I am also glad the Doris is at home. It might be harder for you, but I would not want to be anywhere else. I am sure that she is feeling emotionally better because her friends and family surround her.

I will keep you and Doris in my thoughts and prayers.
