second biopsy still inconclusive What is this ?

my 32 year old son has a mass in is chest cavity the size of a soft ball. he had a biopsy in dec. 2006 and they said it was inconclusive. it was than sent to mayo clinic and just came back still inconclusive. now they are sending it to some army hospital in colarado. his doctor wants my son to get in to see the on cologist. without a diffenate biopsy report what will happen next?
