Okay, this may sound nuts, but I have been meaning to pass this on for some time. There was a sign my sister told me to watch for toward the end. I have certainly never seen anything about anywhere else but when I mentioned it to my sister in law, who used to be an RN in a nursing home, she said, “Oh, I didn’t know everybody else knew about that.” Anyway, the sign is the ear lobes turning toward the back of the head. I know it sounds odd, but sure enough, a few days before Sam died our 15 year old daughter noticed his earlobes leaning backwards. It wasn't a drastic change, not something I would have noticed had I not been told about it. Anyway, I just thought it might he helpful.
