what are the chances

my husband, age 54 was dx with hep.c in 1993 and in 2003 with cirrohsis of the liver, now they found a pancreatic mass from doing and ultrasound, the doc said it is about the size of a golf ball, on the head of the pancreas. but said his blood work looked good. my husband has lost 18 pounds in 3 weeks, and the doc. is concered about that . so on tues. he had a ct scan of the pancreas , so now we wait for the results.
what could the possibilities be?

Of course the possibilities include cancer, and then of course then what kind of cancer. Other things include a pancreatic cyst or fluid collection. Work closely with the physicians to get better imaging and likely a biopsy to figure this out. Good luck.
