Hello all...

Just joined up on the forum. Figured that I'd better find a group of people who are going through/gone through what I am going to have to face.

I am a 30 year old Police Officer from Ontario Canada who most likely has HL. I will be getting my biopsy this week or early next week. Doc says my CT scan shows a fist sized mass in my chest. Lucky me.

It is sad to see so many others on this board...and lots of those even younger than I am.

I am not too pleased with what the near future holds form me, but I am determined to fight this thing, and get on with my life.

I am sure that I'll be on the forum often in the next while, so I figured that I'd say hello.

Hello Wink

hey Tyson! I am from ontario too! where about are you from?! i am from toronto! anyways i was newly diagnosed with HL stage IIIB and am just finishing my 1st cycle of treatment.. i am 17 years old..

anyways.. i know its really scary while going through all the tests.. i wish you luck! i remember when i was first was told that i might have it i was sooo scared.. but you know what.. it really isn't as bad as i thought.. i still live my normal life.. go to school.. and i am sure you will be the same! the only thing that has changed is that i am tired more.. but besides that i have responded really well to the chemo! i always think so myself how lucky i am that my treatment is only 6 months... i have met a boy with leukemia and he has 3 years of treatment!! i can't even imagine..

anyways i am only one step ahead of you so if you have ANY questions.. i am here! and there is still hope that you don't have HL! my fingers are crossed! good luck!

Hey Tyson, I know it's been almost 2 months since you posted here, but I am new here myself. Did you ever get an official diagnosis yet? I had 2 tumors in my chest which they saw from a CT scan too (lymphoblastic lymphoma). I was diagnosed when I was only 14, so it was a long time ago, but I remember it very well. What kind of treatment did they put you on, and how have you been handling it? Hope you're doing okay.

Kevin
