Hello,

Has anyone had a personal (or know of someone) experience with the Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia? I have just sent my test results, biopsy, etc. to them for review and to obtain a second opinion. My surgery (RP) is scheduled for May 23rd. However, I am also checking out the possibility of radiation. Any feedback?

Thanks,
PI-MAN

Hello PI Man,
You might want to look for information on IMRT radiation therapy before making any decisions. This fairly new type of treatment is rated as good as or better than surgical treatment with less complications. I live in Germany and can't give you any advice on clinics in Georgia. I am currently receiving IMRT in Mannheim Germany which I am told is one of the world's most experienced clinics for this and can confirm that they are very professional and that I have almost no side effects (up to now after 25 sittings).

Regards,
Hans

PiMan, I have no personal experience with them, but I have heard from others that Emory University has one of the leading cancer research centers in the Southeast. Good luck.
