Does anyone have any information or know of any correlation between the two? Has anyone ever had this happen? Never had paps until after chemo and they thought that maybe all the radioactive dyes that were injected into her for the retesting before radiation. 2nd pap done about a month after radiation and it to was abnormal. They want to repeat a 3rd time but the paps are very, very painful (which all us women know that they are not pleasant and are not necessarily painful, but uncomfortable) for her and she bleeding while the dr. does the scraping. The GYN said that the paps are showing atypical cells (which I know are not cancer yet, but can become cancer if not treated) and they could not identify them. She just had her 3rd PET scan done and I asked the oncology nurse if she had cancer shouldnt it show up on the PET and she said she did not know. We will know sometime next week what the PET showed as far as the Hodgkins goes (if all cancer is gone or not). I hate the waiting and then the GYN calls with the abnormal pap results on Friday so that is one more thing to think and worry about. Just thought someone may have some answers or advice or experience with this type thing. I have looked on the internet but it showes a lot about non-hodgkins and abnormal paps but not much on hodgkins and abnormal paps. She is only 16 years old. Any way if anyone could reply I would greatly appreciate it.

Laurie
