Hi Jim - Thinking of you.

You might be interested - a doctor (who writes for one of our newspapers) has recently started discussing the effects of statins on those taking them as a result of one person writing to him. He has had over 600 responses showing that those prescribed them were suffering from massive side effects. In fact, the people responding are taking themselves off the drug and are finding their quality of life massively improved. http://tinyurl.com/29od8c

Not directly relevant, but drug side effects are very odd things. On Navelbine, I developed a nasty neural side effect that took 18 months to overcome.

Thank you all for you support and prayers. My last MRI, done just a couple of weeks ago, was clear and did not reviel any cause for my rightsided weakness. At about the same time, my doctor did a ECT (Electric Conductivity Test). That was fun Laughing I also changed to Lamactil for seizure control and total started decresing the level of dilantin I have been taking since 1992. I have not had any "brown-outs" since changing medications. Anyhow, yesterday I went to the doctor to find out my test results and where we go from here. I did not do what I have told many of you to do; I did NOT take my medical journal with me so I did not have a chance to write down all the technical terms. However, I was told that I do have significant signs of neurophathy in my right arm and signs that my brain is not communicating with my right arm very well... probably due to the damage caused by the cancer and surgery.

I have also, believe it or not, not been sleeping very well. Here it is currently 3:35am!! I went to sleep at 1:00am and woke at 2:00am wide awake and ready to go to work. This happens every night. However, I know that in a few minutes I will go back to bed and back to sleep and will really have a hard time getting out of bed the next time. So, my neurologist scheduled me for a sleep study. I am sure he will find that I snore and have apnia. I have for many years but undiagnosed. Anyhow, that is what is up with me... no signs of cancer but still health issues.

Again, that you all for your support and prayers.
