My dad is 76 and we just found out he has cancer. Tomorrow he gets the rest of his test, what kind and how long he has. He lost mt my 4 years ago so he keeps saying he wants to go with her, I am afraid he won't fight this, but part of me understands he loved her very much. I'm not sure how to feel I guess I know tomorrow.

Hi Chris, I lost my mother and father to cancer. My father survived my mother by 8 years. This disease is terrible!! I am glad you found us. Some information you will want to get from the doctor is:

1. Type and grade of the cancer
2. Specific location(s) of the cancer and
3. Size

Obviously, you will have more questions that only his medical team can answer. However, if you need help in understanding the information you are given or just need support, we are here for you.

I will keep you and your father in my thoughts and prayers.
