Hi all. I no one has the time to really rspond to some of us. But I had the bmb yesterday. It wasn't as painful as my fears had predicted but it hurt like hell anyway.
I am rather sore today which I guess is common. Maybe to last but a few days???
Is it common to run a fever after the procedure??? My typical low grader is 99.0 -99.4 but I feel crappy and it is 100.00.

If anyone could slow down and just help me I would really appreciate it.

God Bless, Deena

I am sorry, Deena, about the pain you are having post BMB. Pain does often accompany a bone marrow biopsy. Although I have not personally had one, my father did as part of his workup to diagnose his Leukemia. I do not remember specifically how long the pain lasted but it was not more than a few days. I do not remember him having a post BMB fever. However, if it goes about 100, I would say you need to contact your medical team. It may have nothing to do with the biopsy. However, you still should address the fever since it could be an infection.

Deena, you are in my thoughts and my prayers. I am so very sorry about your health problems. Keep us informed.

Hi Deena
Hang in there girl, the discomfort won't last for very long. I hope your fever was brought under control, and that you are feeling a little better.
Remember you are not alone in this, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Keep us updated
Regards
Michele

Deena, sorry to slightly more wimpy than some others, but in all honesty, my BMB several years back hurt for almost five full days! I was so nervous about it, I actually sweated a puddle on the table, but like anything else, the anticipation was worse than the reality (but not by THAT much!). I have lymphocyte predominance Hodgkins, in remission for several years, but being indolent it's never truly beaten, unfortunately. FYI, though, I do remember the low grade fever!
