June 15, 2007, polyps were removed, with a "poorly differentiated neuroenocrine type carcinoma."
CT scan showed a spot on my liver.
MRI showed four metastatic lesions on the liver.
PET scan shows at least five liver lesions plus a few smaller metastases also, and an irregular soft tissue mass adjacent to the descending colon. It was described as a metastatic mesenteric implant, as opposed to a second exophytic colonic tumor.

Laughing A lot of big words there, Tom Very Happy and I am not sure I can explain its meaning. The mesentery is part of or associated with the intestines. I think all that the report is saying is that you have a true metastasized cancer and not a second primary. However, before trusting in my limited medical understanding, I recommend that you check with your doctor. Your own medical team will be better equipped to tell you what this means.

While you are at it, ask them for staging information about your cancer.

I am very sorry to hear about your colon cancer and will continue to be praying for you.
