| I have this deep-seated udll ache in my left lower lung and it's really beginning to get at me now. I've been to the doctors and he said there really is nothing to worry about, I'm only 16 don't smoke (althought my parents do, not around me however) and I am generally healthy. My growing anxiety is ruining my life (and seems to be the cause of my fatigue and slight chest aches), I'm in fear of dieing everyday. I've been to the doctors 3 times now about cancer, and I still worry about it. I have booked to see someone soon but I just wish I could be like my friends, who just enjoy life for what it is, not fear something which is unlikely to even be there. Sorry that this isn't completely related but I just felt I needed to share it with someone... |

Hi Jimmy, have you told your medical team about your anxiety about this pain? My huch is that you are having an anxiety attack. Your medical team can help you deal with that too. That is not to say you don't have something else wrong. It could be anything: a pulled muscle, brused ribs, etceteras.
Good luck. Make sure you tell your parents about this and anyother communicate you have over the Internet. _________________ Jim

| Thankyou for the fast reply. So if the doctor has checked me over ( no scan however) I don't need to worry about cancer? |

Jimmy-
Everyone needs to be aware of Cancer and their own bodies, BUT not to be constantly worried about it. Or let it run your life.
Anxiety will often give you those same symptoms, worry, constand wondering.........
Is there a pictular- other than the obvious- reason why you are so worried- at 16. ? Was there a Family member who has had Cancer? Know of someone with or had Cancer?
Sometimes there is a little tiny reason that makes you constantly think about it. (kinda like you want a white car thats for sale- then all you see is white cars around, or that sort of car) It's a consiance thing.
But you know your body better than anyone- so you have to do what you need to do- get it checked out. But in the mean time- try not to stress, have fun with your mates. _________________ Thinking of you Inica
