ok so here is my story i was having lots of problems like bleeding for 3 months straight and head pains every day things of that sort...so i went in to my ussall doctor (i live on a Air Force Base) and he did some blood work and a pap...well the pap came back abnormal...so he sent me to a obgyn to do a ultra sound...which is when they found something in my uterus...so then he sent me to another place to maybe try and find out what it is...well the place i went to the doctor pretty much blew me off he didnt even check it out...he said im to young to have uterin cancer and thats that...so that kinda pissed me off...cause i told him that it runs in my family my mom her mom and great g-ma all got it in their 20's so...i know its not impossible...but he really didnt listen to me...he said if i was in my 40's and he was looking at my ultra sound he would automatically think cancer BUT im in my 20's so it must just be debree left over from haveing my baby...so i listened to him then got online and did some research and found this place where i have seen a few people my age with uterin cancer...so now im really upset that the doc just blew me off so im gunna try and find some one else perfeably a female doc...but i was wondering if this kinda thing has happend to ne of u...or if your young and have it...thanx

P.s My name is Rae i live in Cheyenne WY i have 2 boys and have been married for 3 years...just a lil info about me... Laughing

Rae, I am so sorry to hear about your concerns with possible cancer. It does sound like the ob/gyn blew you off. While not as likely an a 20 year older, you have already replied to an 18 year older who had uterine cancer. So, here is a list of things that aggravate me about how you were treated:
Arrow Uterine Cancers do happen in women in their 20's and younger
Arrow You have a multi-generational history of early Uterine Cancer
Arrow You had an abnormal pap test
Arrow Your military doctor was concerned enough to send you to the ob/gyn... he must have thought it should be looked at a little closer

Conclusion: Do get a second opinion. I hope your first ob/gyn is right and that it is not cancer.... but still !!!!

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us informed.

Hi Rae,

Welcome to the forum. Brainman has really hit the nail on the head here, you must pursue this and get a second opinion. Go back to your usual doctor and tell him your concerns and ask him directly for a new referral to another OBGYN. You are not too young to get it. You need to rule out cancer; this does not necessarily mean you have cancer, but a person should rule it out when they have symptoms like you have. Stand tough and strong, and insist on further testing. Keep us posted and I am praying for you that all is well.

Rhonda

well- good for you!!! great news. (not being cancer)

Can they remove this clot, so it doesn't turn cancerious??? That would be a concern if it was me. Maybe a curett or something to remove it. ?

anyway great news, and keep up with check ups. great again! Very Happy
