Hi Friends,

I am wanting to compile a journal/tribute to my Brother - Mark who is currently on the GBMIV journey. Diagnosis Feb 07 & still fighting hard.
As mentioned in previous threads (Brainman-Jim has talked about it) I know there are some of you who have done this type of thing already (or their family members have done it for them) & I am wanting feedback from all of you.
Your suggestions on the "wording" & "type" of questions that we can ask him about; that will leave us, his family, grandchildren & friends with great memories of his life, should it ever end. I'm not being morbid here, just practical & as his loving Sister I would dearly love to compile a book of his memories, anecdotes & experiences as a tribute to him.

Thanks in advance for your input. Cheers, Aussie Angie.

Hi Angie, What a wonderful idea. I was just trying to think of what things I would want to know about loved ones that have past that I didn't get to ask of them. I would like to know what music, movies, books they liked as they went through childhood / adolescent and then into adulthood. What good times stand out in their mind (birthday parties, achievements etc). Things they did when they were young that no one knows about. (might be a can of worms there Smile ). I will post more as I think of them. Running out of time now. Love Jen.

Angie, I posted my suggestions on the Lobby forum. Hope Mark lives a very long time so that he can build more memories Smile

Fantastic Idea.

I Love to ask my dad the old storys of when he was young. The trends, the new inventions, the dances and dates, how he met my mum. What trouble did he get into? What did they used to do. Fav holiday, or place to visit. Where can he best remember while travelling etc.

Pretty Much what everyone else has suggested. Razz

That is a really good idea! My dad was diagnosed same time! We will have to keep in touch. I think what eveyone has said are great ideas. Nicknames he has ever had, or had for others, practical jokes ever played on him or others, first loves/crushes. I don't know,, maybe ask him what he would like to say to people if he doesn't make it?? like to his children, mother, father, spouse, best friends? If he has a daughter, what he would like to say to her at her wedding, something you would keep seret until then?

This is a great idea you have, let us know how it goes?
good luck with everything!
