hi! my name is Tracy and i have already had 2 basal cell carcinomas removed : one on my nose, required plastic surgery to repair and one under my eye , only needed 4 stitches. I had no idea the one on my nose was cancer, thought it was a pimple that got infected. Caught the one under my eye right away. OK heres my question.. i had another mole on my chest removed 3 months ago and my DR said it was Abnormal and if any pigment returns to come back.. well, 3 dots of brown have come back in the scar.. so i go back to see her the end of this month.. i am SO nervous! They really didn't say if the pigment returns its cancer or what? I'm the biggest worry wart, so if any one can give me an idea of what is going on, i'd appreciate it! i also have another small dot by my eyebrow that i'm scared is another basal cell Sad
any way. thanks in advance for any input!

Hi Tracy. I am very sorry about your basal cell carcinomas and current concern that it might be back. The only good news is that of the three major kinds of skin cancer, basal cell carcinomas are usually the least aggressive.

If you having see them before, a good source of information is the NCI website. The link below will take you to a page in a small online booklet about squamous cell and basal cell cancerous.

Although it is said that "a picture is worth a thousand words" that is not the case with diagnosing any type of cancer. The best thing to do is have a doctor look at it. It sounds like you have already made arrangements for that to happen. Keep us informed.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
